Check in the menu "Translation" that the entry "Confirm" states Ctrl + Enter.

*If yes, go to the Edit menu>Goto next settings....
Check that the radio button is set to "Down" in the "Direction" pane.

*If not, amend your list of keyboard shortcuts:
Tools menu>Options>Keyboard shortcuts.
Create a new "resource" and change the entry "Confirm" in the Menu column

I know this thread is old, but still helpful!
As the client's server is down, I am trying to work offline by selecting manual synchronization but each time I confirm a segment I get a warning message. Is it possible to avoid it?

Hello!
I have a problem with exporting my projects. (export to a stored path) and error acquires:

System.InvalidOperationException

MESSAGE:
Sequence contains more than one matching element

SOURCE:
System.Core

And i don't know what to do;/ and I'm 4h after the deadline!:/

can someone help me figure out this problem??
How can I export my files?
the file ins word, DOCX,(word news version)

Thanks for any help!

as usual, received the notice, downloaded, installed, and opened an ongoing translation with the new release: zero problems

The new interface is even faster than my old 8.7 one

It sounds like a corrupted application file. Try closing MemoQ and reopening it. If the problem persists, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling MemoQ. This won't affect your work.

Well, no, I uninstalled v8.7 so...
I run CCleaner, cleaned the Registry, the MQ logo in the task bar shows 9.0 but the splash screen still shows 8.7 but version number is definitely 9.0 in MyMemoQ. Go figure...

be careful with CCleaner, it smashes the registry sometimes...

Note that memoQ 9 gets installed in c:\Program Files\memoQ\ whereas all the previous versions were installed in c:\Program Files (x86)\Kilgray\ – this could be the reason.

I just installed 9.0. No problem with splash screen, but I am trying to bring up my LiveDocs and they won't appear. It is pretty hard to edit them when you can't call them up. The folders all exist under MemoQ/Corpora.

Also, I have a memoQ server contact that keeps coming up and dominating, even if I want to use "My Computer."

Hey Kilgray, do you monitor this forum, or do I have to contact you directly?

maybe they do that, but thinking (as often think nowadays) that fora are the best way to have support is wrong

issuing a ticket for developers is the right way, and memoQ ones reply very quickly

I read the article about the new version, but didn't really see improvements for translators who are not interested in MT. Are there any?

I like many things in MemoQ, but especially the way TMs are handled is unintuitive and limiting. To compare, with Trados Studio you can set up as many TMs as you want for a project, and adjusting the settings and penalties for each is very simple. With MemoQ you first have to understand the differences between a Master, Working and "no title" (reference) TM, and then there's no way to set up multiple TMs to update simultaneously as you translate. This is something I'm hoping will be improved sooner rather than later.

not sure, but I think to remember something about that topic in their memoQ 9 page

what I can say after one day working, is that the fuzzies retrieval is a lot improved

it's difficult to explain how it works, because I have to complete an urgent job, but it works very well with those lists of similar sentences where only some term changes

clearly, it works well in my case because I have huge and well-maintained termbases

Hello,

I have been using memoQ for quite a long time in the same PC and I feel memoQ is heavy recently (such as it takes time to launch, project does not open quickly etc).
Therefore, I deleted many projects I am no longer using. I followed this step: Move to Recycle Bin - > View Recycle Bin - >"Delete selected" (in Recycle bin).

However, my memoQ still feels heavy. Even if I delete the projects completely (not shown in the main screen), I can still see the TM and term bases of the projects I already deleted (in "Translation memories" or in "Term bases").
Could someone let me know how to make memoQ lighter? Does it help to delete the old projects?
